God's will

Genesis 30

What a crazy account of God's chosen people. From this mess came the tribes of Israel that God had promised so much. It continues to amaze me how God can work through the mess we cause.

What strikes me most about this chapter is how time and time again the characters continue to do wrong while passing it off as God's will. The story reads almost like a modern day cult where much bed swapping goes on.

I don't suppose many of us would dare try to excuse such crazy behaviour as God's will today but maybe just maybe we would use the its God's Will card to silence any doubters to our actions. I have seen this happen so often. In a conversation you question what someone is doing and the reply is that God has told them. Well then you have no where to go.
