Day 15 - Rediscovering the Christmas Season

Unannounced, an angel of God appeared - Luke 1 v 11

Opening his account of Jesus life Luke first introduces us to a great Godly couple, Zachariah and Elizabeth. He talks of them in glowing terms, honorable, obedient and faithful to God. But there was a shadow on this God honouring life. They couldn't have Children.

Even with this disappointment they lived faithfully before God choosing to walk away from bitterness.

Then one day Zachariah busy in his service for God was taken aback when God sent an angel UNANNOUNCED into his life that was to change his life.

Zachariah, even though he was being told that he would have what he had long wanted, a child, found it hard to believe.

God showed up Unannounced and disappointment turned to joy.
God showed up unannounced and blind men saw.
God showed up unannounced and lepers were made whole.
God showed up unannounced and the possessed were delivered.
God showed up unannounced and cripples were healed.
God showed up unannounced and the barren gave birth.

God still turns up unannounced today.
