Day 4 - Rediscovering the Christmas Season
“Change your life. God’s kingdom is here.” - Matt 4 v 17
Jesus arrival means that everything was changing. But the Kingdom didn't exactly work out the way that the expectant Jews thought.
This Kingdom was different from any other one before or since.
The King was born a baby.
He brought a message of peace not war, love not hate.
Where sevanthood was its hallmark not might.
It owned no palace or lands just hearts captivated by the cause.
As it advances it declares freedom not oppression to all in its path.
And unlike every empire or kingdom we have ever known that has risen and fallen, His Kingdom will know no end.
And the glorious news is that we have vocation in the Kingdom.
The message of His Kingdom is not a message comfort alone it is a message of CHANGE.
The arrival of God's Kingdom demands life change.
God's will for us is less about our comfort than it is about our contribution. God would never choose for us safety at the cost of significance. God created you so that your life would count, not that you could count the days of your life.- Erwin McManus from
