What touches the heart of God?

2 Chronicles 33

"Now that he was in trouble, he went to his knees in prayer asking for help—total repentance before the God of his ancestors. As he prayed, God was touched; God listened.." (v12)

Repentance touches the heart of God.

No matter how far you have fallen, no matter how many mistakes you make, no matter how many things you have done wrong, you are only one act away from touching the very heart of God. That act is repentance.

Wikipedia suggests that repentance includes: an admission of guilt, a promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible.

However repentance is not easy. The initial act of admission of guilt or saying sorry is only the start. Then the hard part kicks in. Change that’s the hard part.

Manasseh was a pretty evil king but his repentance was total. He turned 180 and followed God's commands and id doing so he touched the heart of God.
