Bill George
• Our world is facing a leadership crisis.
• Our current financial crisis is not an act of God it is a result of failed leadership.
• Everyone of us are leaders how are you using your leadership gifts.
• Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson
• Most people are not looking for wealth they are looking for meaning and significance in their work.
• One of the toughest things about leadership is getting people aligned around a common mission and value.
• Old notion of leadership is I am leader and I have power over you. Our job as leaders is actually to empower other to lead.
• We are called to be servant leaders.
• Great leaders collaborate. You can not solve the huge problems on your own.
• We don’t need just a few great leaders we need millions of leaders.
• What is it in your story that is motivating you to lead?
• Follow your compass (calling) not your clock.
• Leadership is a long journey into your own soul.
• Don’t just talk about your values but practice your values especially in testing times.
• Leadership is inherently lonely so build a support team around you.
• Ask the question: What did you do to make a difference in the world?
