Logging off to Log On - Try It!

It's been quiet here for a few days. I've been on holiday in France for a week. Believe it or not I actually choose the campsite I went to because they actually provided free WiFi. After logging in on day one I thought it was time I logged off.

So I spent most of my break, reading. I had chosen 3 books to accompany my Bible and I am so glad I did. It was like tuning into the megaphone of God all week. God talked to me about some deep personal stuff.

I dare you to read any one of these books:

Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

But I think this prayer by A W Tozer sums up my thoughts and will now be my first prayer everyday.

"Oh God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made ME thirsty for more. I am painfully aware of my need for further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I want to want Thee: I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, so that I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long." - A W Tozer
