Jesus the rebel

I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels. Is 53 v 12

Rebel defined: To resist or defy an authority or a generally accepted convention.

Clearly Jesus was a rebel
He tore down religion
Replaced practices with grace
Replaced rituals with relationship
Granted freedom instead of control

Created a team from the most unlikely of people.
Mostly young teenagers.
Trusted them with the message of hope.

No wonder he was counted as a rebel.
He didn't follow the religious or leadership books.

The message of Jesus is totally radical.
Come and die.
It appeals to the rebels in us.
Lets not water it down.
